I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. My interest in art emerged as a child as did my interest in medicine. I began studies at Bellas Artes School of Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1994. I went to Dominican Republic from 1996 to 2002 to study medicine and there I earned my medical degree. While I was there I enjoyed drawing the diagrams needed for pathology and anatomy classes. I returned to art study with the painter Jose Balay and at New Orleans Academy of Fine Art. My paintings express the colors of my soul. The subjects express my motivation to create art. And my brush style reflects the intensity of my art love. Masters such as Miguel Pou, Ramon Frade, Frida Kahlo, Berthe Morisot, Vincent Van Gogh, Edgar Degas and Jose Campeche y Jordan inspired me. I love my work as artist and physician. I consider each discipline a different way to express art.
